The Canon PowerShot ELPH 100HS is truly a point and
shoot camera for everyone. Designed and priced for everyday use, the
beginner will fall in love with photography, and the professional will
enjoy the convenience of a pocket sized camera for causal shots. It
even comes in a wide range of colors – grey, blue, orange, pink and
silver – to satisfy any taste.
You can further accessorize by purchasing the black leather
PowerShot case, or choose from a range of other Cannon cases. Some
choices include a black or burgundy soft case or semi-hard cases in
light blue, grey, burgundy or pink.
In spite of its modest price and small size, you won’t have to
sacrifice great features or sterling photo quality. Like most series A
Canon products, the Canon PowerShot ELPH 100HS comes with AV and USB
interface cables, wrist strap, battery and charger and CD Rom to help
you maximize your Canon experience.
No Skimping on Quality
Perfect pictures are made possible with Canon’s HS system. This
combines a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor designed to
capture optimal lighting with a DIGIC 4 Image
Processor that reduces noise and enables high speed image
processing.
The Canon PowerShot ELPH 100HS comes with a
4x Optical Zoom and a 4X Digital Zoom
for a total 16x Zoom capability and a 28-112
mm Wide Angle lens. The built-in flash pops out automatically
and is connected to a light sensor that evaluates the available light
and adjusts the amount of flash accordingly.

Have you ever noticed how washed out a face can look if a picture is
taken in bright sunlight or under fluorescent lights? That problem is
solved with the white balance technology incorporated into this little,
everyday camera.
Smart Technology
One great piece of smart technology in the Canon PowerShot ELPH
100HS is smile, wink and face recognition. Point the camera at your
subjects, and the shutter will automatically go off as soon as they
smile. Do you want to join the crowd? Set the camera on delay; it will
record the faces in the picture and snap a shot after it sees a new
face in the group. Now everyone can be part of the visual memories,
including the photographer.
Smart Auto mode does all of the work for you. Embedded into the
Canon PowerShot ELPH 100HS are 32 preset settings to any type of
setting you may encounter. Each of these settings has specified
aperture settings, shutter speed, etc. When you point the camera, it
assesses the situation and automatically chooses the setting which will
deliver the best result. The Optical Stabilizer adjusts to camera shake
and eliminates the major cause of blurry pictures.
Tired of red-eye ruining an otherwise great shot? The Canon
PowerShot ELPH 100HS comes with automatic red-eye correction and
red-eye reduction. And it you want continuous action shots set the
camera on P mode and shoot 8.2 frames per second without waiting for
recycling time.
For those who want more control, menu options are available that can
take the camera off Smart Auto and let you choose the functions and
modes you prefer.
Mini Camera, Mega Video
Unlike many point and shoot cameras, you can make your own
1080p video with the Canon PowerShot ELPH
100HS. Do you want to analyze your pitch? The Canon PowerShot
ELPH 100HS can record in a slow motion mode that allows you to play the
movie back slowly, analyzing every angle. The Dynamic IS incorporated
into the camera corrects shaking, keeping your video images sharp and
clear. At the end of the day you can combine all of your video clips in
Movie Digest Mode, hook the camera up to the HD TV and watch the
show.

Thirty-Two Modes
With thirty-two different modes to choose from, the Canon PowerShot
ELPH 100HS is great for just about any situation. Want a portrait? The
camera will focus on the face and slightly blur the background, just
like you would see in a professional studio. Low light features help
you capture great shots in dim settings without the use of a flash.
Other special effects include Miniature Movie Mode, Fish-eye mode,
Monochrome, Miniature Camera, and a host of others.

If you are looking for a camera with manual settings designed for a
professional, than this may not be the one for you. But even
experienced photographers have picked up the Canon PowerShot ELPH 100HS as an easy-to-carry,
no fuss option to carry along on activities. Customers agree that the
camera produces both great still shots and video. Some customers find
the size of the buttons and wheel on a compact a bit of an adjustment
after using larger cameras.

Just received my Canon ELPH 100 HS {orange} and I
absolutely love it. The camera boots up almost instantly.
Installed a 16GB SDHC class 10 card and now have 5000+ 12MB
photo capacity or 60 minutes for HD video. The image
stabilization at max digital zoom 4X4/16x works great! |
